East Providence Waterfront
The East Providence property consists of a total of 50 acres located on the Providence River in the center of Providence County and the Providence/East Providence Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is just south of Interchange 195 and the Tockwotton on the Waterfront development and north of the University Orthopedics Medical Office Complex and Kettle Point Residential Community. Mugar Enterprises is partnering with the City of East Providence and the East Providence Waterfront Commission to develop the “South Quay” mixed use development site.
Presently under evaluation are a live entertainment venue with an outdoor amphitheater and a deep-water port for Rhode Island’s growing offshore wind industry. The focus is on promoting job growth, contributing to the area’s cultural environment, accelerating real estate development as well as assuming a critical role in Rhode Island’s commitment to green energy and advancing its leadership position at the forefront of offshore wind energy.
