Mugar Enterprises, Inc., located in the Back Bay of Boston, is a privately held and operated company, with a wide variety of equity investments, real estate holdings, entertainment venues, and entrepreneurial interests.


The part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) administrative assistant will provide administrative support for an accounting team of 7 employees. Working under the direct supervision of the Assistant Controller, the administrative assistant must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, be detail oriented, capable of handling a wide variety of projects, and able work independently in a small group setting. High degree of confidentially is mandatory.

Primary responsibilities:

Weekly scanning, book-marking and filing of financial documents, including accounts payable, corporate financial statements and yearly financial reports;

Establish, maintain and update files and financial binders regularly;

Create and maintain financial binders and file folders for storage and retrieval of off-site financial and corporate files;

Record-keeping of off-site files in accordance with company’s retention policy;

General administrative duties including copying, faxing, mailing and filing,

Other projects as assigned

Minimum 2-3 years office administrative support experience required. Experience in a multi-company environment and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook is needed. Some college preferred, but not required.
